ONDEP Explores Digital Twin Technology in Collaboration with Tecnalia and AW Energy

15 January 2025 – ONDEP partners recently gathered for a Digital Twin Workshop in collaboration with Tecnalia and AW Energy. This event highlighted the transformative role of digital twin technology in enhancing the performance and scalability of wave energy systems, reinforcing ONDEP’s commitment to innovation in offshore renewable energy.

Key Highlights of the Workshop:

• Optimizing Wave Energy Systems: Experts explored how digital twin models can improve system efficiency through real-time monitoring, predictive maintenance, and performance optimization.

• Strengthening Industry Partnerships: ONDEP, Tecnalia, and AW Energy are working together to advance digital innovation and address global energy challenges.

• Accelerating Renewable Energy Adoption: Integrating cutting-edge technology is a key step toward ensuring wave energy solutions' long-term viability and scalability.

Workshops like this are central to ONDEP’s mission to de-risk wave energy deployment, foster cross-sector collaboration, and drive the transition to a sustainable blue economy.
