On October 8, 2024, the ONDEP project launched in Brussels, aiming to unlock Europe’s wave energy potential with a 2MW farm off Peniche, Portugal. The project will promote local manufacturing, conduct environmental studies, and foster social acceptance, gender equality, and open science. ONDEP aims to deploy 11 farms across eight countries by 2030, generating 83 MW of clean energy and supporting Europe’s blue economy.
